I would like to make a suggestion for a possible future update.
Considering that it is currently possible to perform high bit depth workflows using avisynth+ and virtualdub2 namely full 16 bit workflows ( to reduce losses , rounding errors ,etc) it could be interesting, in particular to obtain intermediate outputs in complex scripts the possibility to output to 16 bit lossless, formats as interleaved/planar RGB (RGB64/RGBAP16) and planar 16 bit YUV (YUV422P16/YUV420P16).
Thanks for the hard work and excellent codec provided till now
You mean to compress the full 16-bit depth instead of 10/12/14?
Sorry for the late reply.
Yes, as more and more avisynth+ workflows can now be HBD compliant namely 16 bit depth , if one do needs to get intermediary files because for instance the script is too complex and runs to slow and have to be divided we are unable to copy in the actual bit depth and obliged to downconvert to 10 bit and dither and after in a new script instance upconvert to 16 bit depth again. YUV !6 bit depth planar formats could come in hand for this and other applications, also because HBD is becoming a standard with more and more avisynth filters supporting it and there is a tendency to migrate from 10 to 16 bit depth scripts for better results less losses , etc. usually Avisynth scripts are 8 bit , 10 bit or 16 bit ( and a mix sometimes), 12 and 14 bit are not generally used.
